He was born Feb. 13, 1904 on a farm near Lake Park, the son of Hans H. and Dora (Sanny) Froendt sr. He was married March 25, 1929 at Newton to Thelma George. They farmed of seven years in Jackson County, Minn., and the remaining years in Dickinson County. Mr. Froendt was a member of the Presbyterian Church, served on the North Superior School Board and was an ASC Committeeman. He retired in 1966 because of ill health and moved to Spirit Lake. The residence is at 305 21st. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Melvin of Milford and Merle of Primghar; two daughters, Mrs. Ron (Irma) Albert of Spirit Lake and Mrs. Bob (Marjorie) Scheidawind of Spirit Lake; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Hans jr. of Spirit Lake and George of Arnolds Park; four sisters, Mrs. William (Ida) Guritz, Mrs. Tracy (Mary) Estes, both of Spirit Lake, Mrs. Agnes McCullough of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Carl (Elsie) Grant of Des Moines. He was preceded by his parents and a sister Carolyn. *Obituary is published in the Terril Record, April 4, 1968 ------------
