| Description | : | William Gordon Davie was born in Ashland county, Ohio, Jan. 17, 1856. At the age of ten years, he moved to Powesheik county, Iowa, with his parents when he lived nineteen years. He was married March 6, 1879 to Miss Ada Irene Moody, at Malcom, Iowa. In the spring of 1885, he and wife, accompanied by his brother, A. J.
