Description	:	William C. Plock, son of John and Susanna Miller Plock, was born October 30, 1868 at Chadwick, Ill. He passed away October 5, 1949, at the Geneva General Hospital after a lingering illness, having attained the age of 80 years, 11 months and 5 days. In his early years he joined the Methodist Church at Chadwick, Ill. When he was about twenty years of age, he came to Nebraska and settled near Fairmont, spending his active years farming. Plock, son of John and Susanna Miller Plock, was born October 30, 1868 at Chadwick, Ill. He passed away October 5, 1949, at the Geneva General Hospital after a lingering illness, having attained the age of 80 years, 11 months and 5 days. In his early years he joined the Methodist Church at Chadwick, Ill. When he was about twenty years of age, he came to Nebraska and settled near Fairmont, spending his active years farming. March 10, 1898, he was married to Miss Elizabeth Lutz and to this union were born three daughters, Gertrude, Ruth and Alberta. April 27, 1924, he joined the Federated Church of Fairmont. Until the last two months, he was quite active. During his final illness, everything was done by doctors, nurses and family to make him comfortable, until the voice from above called him home. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Elizabeth, his daughters, Mrs. Harley M. Bair of Seward, Mrs. Curtis L. Barney of Oakland, Cal., who was home during his illness, and Mrs. Ben R. Weber of Friend; a brother, John Plock of Exeter; two sisters, Mrs. Lena McMahon of Kearney and Mrs. Rosa Hibbard of Flint, Mich.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. He was a loving husband and a patient father, with a cheerful disposition and a sunny smile, ever helpful to his relatives and neighbors. He leaves an empty place in his home and community. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. L. A. Fishel and Rev. Willard Payne officiating. Mrs. Baker, Miss Aldrich, W. E. Black and Oliver Moul sang, with Miss Goodrich at the organ. Pallbearers were Marion Lovegrove, Peter Lovegrove, LeRoy Plock, Ralph Keil, Kenneth Perkins and Clyde Jacobsen. Interment was in the Exeter Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal October, 1949. Son of John and Susan (Miller) Plock.
