He lived there 20 years then moved to Illinois.He married Sarah Elizabeth Dilley at Monmouth, Illinois on September 12, 1861. In 1892 the family came to Adams County and located south of Brooks. Later the family home was north of Prescott and from Prescott, Mr. Wood came to Corning about two years ago (abt 1913).The couple had 11 children, eight surviving. Two sons died when quite young, one at the age of 2 and one at 11 years.His son, John Wood, died 10 years ago. His funeral was held 10 years to the day before his father's.
