Description	:	William “Cecil” Hill, 76, of 2672 Hwy 92, and husband of Mary Ellen Hurley Hill, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville. Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Allen Cecil and Mittie Lucille Cannady Hill. A SC National Guard veteran, Mr. Hill was a devoted member of Warrior Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, usher, and caretaker of the church’s buildings and grounds for 43 years. Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Allen Cecil and Mittie Lucille Cannady Hill. A SC National Guard veteran, Mr. Hill was a devoted member of Warrior Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, usher, and caretaker of the church’s buildings and grounds for 43 years. He was a Master Mason and member of the Wallace Lodge for 50 years. Mr. Hill was a graduate of Gray Court Owings High School and retired from Watts Mill after 45 years of service. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: a son, Dennis C. Hill and wife Lori of Laurens; grandsons, Josh Wilson and wife Josette of Enoree and Cody Hill and wife Jessica of Waterloo; great grandchildren, Alena Pitts, J.D. Wilson, and Carson Hill; a brother, Ernest Hill and wife Dorothy of Gray Court; a sister, Margaret Hill Whiteford and husband Claude of Concord, NC; and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Warrior Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Russell Freeman and Rev. Ralph Byars, with burial in Warrior Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at Warrior Creek Baptist Church on Thursday, February 12, 2015, from 1:30 to 3:00 pm prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Warrior Creek Baptist Church, 139 Cumlaude Way, Gray Court, SC 29645.
