He was married May 24, 1907 to Neva Ethel Larson Anderson of Tescott, KS at Prescott, AZ. The family had resided in the Tescott community since 1908. Mr. Anderson was mayor of Tescott four years after retiring from the farm and was always active in affairs of the community and church. He was a member of the Methodist church and was on the board of trustees for years. After retiring, Mr. & Mrs. Anderson spent winters in San Benito, TX visiting their youngest son (Eugene R. Anderson & his family). Besides his wife of the home, he is survived by five children: Alice May Hapes of Clovis, NM; Dr. Winstan L. Anderson and wife Billie of Atchison, KS; John C. Anderson and wife Jean of Wichita; Crystelle Ganson and husband James of Concordia; Eugene R. Anderson and wife Virginia of San Benito, TX; also by three brothers: Ray Anderson of Denver, CO; Amel Anderson of Tulsa, OK; Ross Anderson of Bennington; and three sisters: Ollie May Hill of Falls Church, VA; Marguerite Bushboom and Cressie Anderson of Salina; fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Tescott Methodist Church Monday morning at ten o'clock, the Rev. Gene Mace officiating. Don Monroe of Manhattan sang "The Lord's Prayer," accompanied by Mrs. Otis Nelson, organist. Pall bearers were Kenneth Hanson, Guy Yeager Jr, Max Christian, Oscar Larson, David Parker and Albert Stirn. Burial in the Franklin Cemetery at Tescott, KS.
