Mr. Smith was born in Union, January 9, 1959, a son of the late Harold Eugene Smith, Sr., and Josephine Keisler Smith. He was previously employed with Milliken and Co., Lockhart Plant and attended Fairforest Baptist Church. Mr. Smith was a former member of the S.C. National Guard, Jonesville Unit. Mr. Smith was born in Union, January 9, 1959, a son of the late Harold Eugene Smith, Sr., and Josephine Keisler Smith. He was previously employed with Milliken and Co., Lockhart Plant and attended Fairforest Baptist Church. Mr. Smith was a former member of the S.C. National Guard, Jonesville Unit. Surviving are a sister, Barbara JoAnn McCall of Union; two brothers, Donald Ray Smith of Union and Dennis Wayne Smith of the home; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Mr. Smith was predeceased by a brother, Harold Eugene "Gene" Smith, Jr. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Allen Gregory and Rev. Wayne Cooke. Visitation will be held Friday at the home and also Saturday after the services at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Fairforest Baptist Church, William C. Smith Lot Fund, c/o Kent Smith, 124 Old Pump Station Rd., Union, SC 29379.
