Services will be at 10;30 a.m. Friday in the Gillett Grove United Methodist Church. The Rev. Robert Cummings will officiate. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery at Spencer. Mr. Hedgecock was born Aug. 9, 1895, in the village of Halling County of Kent, England. He lived his childhood in England and received his education there. He came to the United states and to Cedar Falls in 1913. He married Louise Christiansen Aug. 12, 1916. They made their home in Cedar Falls where he worked for Clay Equipment Corp. retiring in 1946. he became a citizen of the United States Sept 22, 1942. He married Phyllis Sharff Aug 9, 1943, at Lamont. They lived in Cedar Falls until 1947 when they moved to Gillett Grove. She died April 14, 1981. Survivors include one son, William Jr. of Junction City, Kan.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
