Description	:	Coon Rapids Enterprise February 25, 1938 Funeral services for William Orris, 70, who died suddenly at the Charles Davidson farm home north of Coon Rapids Monday, were held yesterday at 2 p. m. at the Coder funeral home. The Rev. E. Cooley was in charge of the services, with Mrs. Russell Newcomm in charge of the music. Interment was made in the local cemetery. Read More	Coon Rapids Enterprise February 25, 1938 Funeral services for William Orris, 70, who died suddenly at the Charles Davidson farm home north of Coon Rapids Monday, were held yesterday at 2 p. m. at the Coder funeral home. The Rev. E. Cooley was in charge of the services, with Mrs. Russell Newcomm in charge of the music. Interment was made in the local cemetery. William Charles Orris was born near Iowa City August 28, 1867, and died Feb. 21, 1938, at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 21 days. Death came suddenly as the result of a heart attack suffered while working with horses in the barn. Mr. Davidson, who was with him, phoned for help but he was dead when the doctor arrived. When a small boy he moved with his parents to Lohrville where he resided until 36 years ago when he moved to Bayard. Shortly after he moved to Coon Rapids when he made his home until about a year ago when he moved back to Lohrville. He was married to Miss Gertrude Hubbard October 25, 1889. To this union five children were born, two having preceded him in death: baby Ray and Mrs. Roy Holliday, (Pearl). He leaves to mourn his death, Albert of Bayard, Lloyd of Ontario, Oregon and Keith of Coon Rapids. Besides his wife and sons, he leaves 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was a loving father and husband and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
