Description	:	William “Clint” Dobbins, 98, was called home to his Lord on August 27, 2018. Clint was born January 24, 1920, in Tucapau, S.C. to the late Charlie Beary and Carrie Loree Bright Dobbins, he was the loving husband of Sara Jackson Dobbins. Clint lovingly visited and prayed with thousands of people in his church and community. He served in ministry and as a home group leader for Evangel Cathedral, where he was a charter member. Read More	William “Clint” Dobbins, 98, was called home to his Lord on August 27, 2018. Clint was born January 24, 1920, in Tucapau, S.C. to the late Charlie Beary and Carrie Loree Bright Dobbins, he was the loving husband of Sara Jackson Dobbins. Clint lovingly visited and prayed with thousands of people in his church and community. He served in ministry and as a home group leader for Evangel Cathedral, where he was a charter member. His love and prayers will be greatly missed. Mr. Dobbins was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran, and retired from Startex Mills. He was also known for his hobby of creating and raising new breeds of chickens. Survivors include nephews and nieces, Robert Leonard Dobbins (Becky), Keith Dobbins (Judi), Danny Dobbins (Lynn), Rev. Reba Wiley, and Jane Patton (Clayton), seven great nephews and nieces and seven great-great nephews and nieces. The family would like to thank Larry Boyter, a close friend, who graciously supported Clint on a daily basis during his declining health journey. Clint was grateful for all of his friends and the many visits. Mr. Dobbins was predeceased by two brothers and their wives, Charlie Wintfred and Joyce Dobbins and George Leonard and Sara Mae Dobbins and nephew, Rev. Steve Wiley. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Jan King. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. www.thewoodmortuary.com
