Description	:	Last Wednesday afternon Curtis and and George Seek, age 20 and 18 years respectively, and Joseph Cook, about 18 years of age, came here from Schaller, and procured a boat at the Casino to go fishing. When about 500 feet from the shore in water about seven feet deep, Curtis Seek stood up in the boat and cast a line into the water. In doing so he lost his balance, fell on the edge of boat and it was capsized . Workmen at the Casino saw the accident, but as the boat the boys had was the only out... Read More	Last Wednesday afternon Curtis and and George Seek, age 20 and 18 years respectively, and Joseph Cook, about 18 years of age, came here from Schaller, and procured a boat at the Casino to go fishing. When about 500 feet from the shore in water about seven feet deep, Curtis Seek stood up in the boat and cast a line into the water. In doing so he lost his balance, fell on the edge of boat and it was capsized . Workmen at the Casino saw the accident, but as the boat the boys had was the only out there, another was procurred at the west end of the lake, a considerable distance from where the accident occurred. By the time the rescuing party arrived at the scene of the accident, Curtis Seek was drowned but the two with him were rescued. However, his brother George was on the point of drowning when rescued and a messenger was dispatched to summon Dr. Ralph H. Parker, who rendered aid. The body of the drowned boy was recovered soon after the accident by means of a seine. Curtis Seek was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Seek, residing on a farm about two and a half miles east of Schaller . Justice O . F. Aikin, who was at the Casino when the drowning occurred held an inquest, inpaneling as jurors H . C . Carlson, G. W . Fettes and T. S. Hughes, whose verdict was that the drowning was accidental. The remains of young Seek were taken to the undertaking parlor of Jame s T . Toohey until the parents of the dead boy could be notified of the sad death .
