Description	:	Mr. William Gamble passed away in the Olds General Hospital on Wednesday, March 30, 1988 at the age of 88 years. He was born at Ellendale, North Dakota on November 16, 1899. He emigrated to Canada in 1901 where they homesteaded seven miles northeast of Carbon on the Three Hills Creek. After moving to Calgary he began a long career with the C.P.R., first as a telegram deliver boy in 1913, then three years later at the age of 17 he became a relief station agent. He continued his career with the C.P.R. working throughout southern Alberta. ... Read More	Mr. William Gamble passed away in the Olds General Hospital on Wednesday, March 30, 1988 at the age of 88 years. He was born at Ellendale, North Dakota on November 16, 1899. He continued his career with the C.P.R. working throughout southern Alberta. In 1933 his work took him to Wimborne. There he met and married Irene Schmelke in 1936 and this union produced one daughter. He was an active member of the community. During this time he was also an insurance agent serving many clients in the Wimborne, Torrington and Trochu area. He retired from the C.P.R. in 1957.
