William “Bill” Dean Froemke was born November 4, 1930 on the farm near Litchville. He was the son of Robert and Stella (Busche) Froemke. He was baptized and confirmed at Griswold (Trinity) Lutheran Church, rural Litchville. Bill was raised on the farm and attended Spring Creek Elementary country school and graduated from Litchville High School. He was united in marriage to Sheila Stout on December 28, 1953 at First Lutheran Church. They made their home near Litchville operating Froemke Dairy with his family until 1974 when he began fulltime in the farm operation with his son, John, until retiring in 2006. Some of Bill’s hobbies included gardening, fishing, hunting and woodworking. He especially enjoyed cane carving and driving around in his 1930 Model A. He was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church. Bill is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sheila; children, John (Lori) Froemke, Holly (Yvan) Giralté, and Heather Lindekugel; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by one brother, Donald (Phyllis) Froemke; two sisters, Sheree Froemke, and Sandy Sandness; two sisters-in-law, Georgiann Froemke and Judy Paintner; and many nieces and nephews.
