Description	:	Death claimed another Ness County pioneer on Saturday, December 26, 1958, when William Dixon, 91, of Ransom passed away at the Grisell Memorial Hospital in that city. He had been in poor health for some months. Born at Greenfield, Ind., Mr. Dixon came to Ness County when a young man, and had been a resident of the Ransom community since. He and Mrs. Dixon, who survives, were united in marriage by the late Judge P.T. He and Mrs. Dixon, who survives, were united in marriage by the late Judge P.T. Glass in Ness City on June 26, 1907, and had lived on their present farm southeast of Ransom throughout their wedded life. They observed their 50th wedding anniversary with open house at the home on June 26, 1957. The couple had no children, and Mr. Dixon was the last remaining member of his immediate family. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, December 30, 2:00 o’clock from the Ransom Methodist Church with the pastor, Rev. Ray Keller, officiating. Interment was in the Ransom Cemetery with the Ransom IOOF Lodge conducting the final rites, and Fitzgerald’s of Ness City in charge. Ness Co. News, Jan. 1, 1959
