Description	:	Mr. William Donald “DON 25” Thomas, Sr., 69, a lifelong resident of Lake City, passed away peacefully, Tuesday evening in the Haven Hospice of the Suwannee Valley. The son of the late Daniel David and Katie Register Thomas, Mr. Thomas was educated in the Columbia County School System and was a member of the 1965 Graduating Class of Columbia High School. He worked for twenty-six years as an industrial mechanic with OXY/PCS prior to retiring. Read More	Mr. William Donald “DON 25” Thomas, Sr., 69, a lifelong resident of Lake City, passed away peacefully, Tuesday evening in the Haven Hospice of the Suwannee Valley. The son of the late Daniel David and Katie Register Thomas, Mr. Thomas was educated in the Columbia County School System and was a member of the 1965 Graduating Class of Columbia High School. He worked for twenty-six years as an industrial mechanic with OXY/PCS prior to retiring. Following his retirement he enjoyed farming, working in his sawmill, land clearing and digging ponds, a hobby that turned into a business. In his spare time he was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and doing geneology. Mr. Thomas was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church and was an active member of their Cemetery Committee. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, David Thomas; two sisters, Joyce Johnson and Linda Brett; a niece, Tracy Johnson, a nephew, Chet Johnson, and a grand-daughter, Bethany Marcum. Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife & children.(Names of living withheld per FAG Guidelines) Seven grandchildren also survive.
