Description	:	William E. “Bill” Lee, 88, of Grand Island passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016, at CHI Health St. Francis in Grand Island. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton, with the Rev. Dale Coates officiating. Burial will follow in Bureau Cemetery at Clarks, with military rites by American Legion Post 151 of Fullerton. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Bill was born June 22, 1927, in Fullerton to George W. and Mildred M. (Sidders) Lee. Bill graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1945. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served in the Korean War. On June 18, 1958, he married Elaine Randall in Clarks. They resided in Clarks for a short time and then moved to Albion. He managed Albion Co-op for 11 years. They then moved to Falls City, where Bill bought a gas station and ran it for seven years. In 1987, he began working for D&L in Columbus and retired in 1995. Bill was a member of the American Legion. He led prayer group and sang in a group at the Veterans Home. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being around horses. He always had a joke to tell. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his grandchildren. He always had pictures and articles of his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Elaine of Grand Island; son, David (Tawnia) Lee of Hebron; daughters, Claudia Lee of Columbus and Andrea (Scott) Louderback of Brentwood, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Ryan Lee, Rachel Lee, Jarod Asche, Kailee Asche, Morgan Louderback, Kristen Louderback, Lauren Louderback and Aaron Louderback; a great-grandchild, Derek Hazen; two brothers, Richard (Georgene) Lee of Seattle and Jack (Marlene) Lee of Central City; sisters, Ruby Burns of Central City, Bonnie (Bill) Vigna of Stockton, Calif., Shirley Hatten of Fremont, Carol Swanger of Green Valley, Ariz., Gladys (Ralph) Mead of Grand Island, Mildred (Robert) Mustard of Central City and Doris (Kennard) Fleek of Bullhead City, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Audrey Lee; and brothers, Jimmie and Donald.
