Lizzie Brown 37 "The News-Herald" Hillsboro, Ohio July 23, 1891, Page 5, Image 5 William Brown William Brown was born in Culpeper Co., Virginia December 15th, 1806, and died at his residence on South High St., Hillsboro, Ohio, July 18th, 1891, at the age of 85. In early life he was married to Mary E. Fuell, a true Christian wife and mother, with whom he lived happily until her death, which occurred February 10th, 1867. Since that time he has been "only waiting till the shadows are a little longer grown." He was a member of the Methodist Church for many years. It was a familiar place to him and his hands tolled out the funeral knell of many of our fathers now sleeping in our quiet cemetery. Mr. Brown came to Hillsboro in 1835. He was an honest man, a good citizen and a true Virginian and was respected by all. During his last sickness he suffered much pain and expressed a longing to be at rest. Just as the morning light was breaking, watched and surrounded by his family of three sons and two daughters with other friends, he was gathered home like a sheaf fully ripe.
