Mrs. Roy was born north of town as Louise Schwada and Mr. Roy was born at Palmyra. They were married Feb. 27, 1895 in Clarence and for a number of years lived in Hagers Grove where they operated a general store. The Roys have resided in Clarence since 1919. They have five children, Mrs. Kemper Pritchard of Flint, Mich., Raymond Roy of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Glen Dorrell, Mrs. John Durham and Carl Roy, all of Clarence; three grandsons, Elgin Roy of Illinois, Roy Pritchard of Michigan and Billy Dorrell of Clarence; one great grandson. A son, Jim, died in March, 1933. Mrs. Roy has four living brothers and sisters, Frank and William Schwada, Mrs. John Long and Mrs. Flora Mitts. Mr. Roy has two brothers, Dr. Frank Roy and Ellis Roy.
