Description	:	William was the son of Patrick Henry Lyons and Bridget Dunphy. He died in a train accident. Lyons, which occurred Monday evening. He had been making hay and was on the road to Bayard to get the sickle fixed. Being a little deaf, he did not hear the train as he crossed the track, and it struck the outfit so squarely that both horses were killed and the wagon and harness literally torn into shreds. Lyons was thrown some distance, had an arm crushed, a leg cutoff, and his head badly bruised. He lived only an hour after the accident, and was dead when his mother reached him. It is a terrible blow to the family and to the community, as he was an upright, deserving young man, beloved by every one. The funeral was held Wednesday and was largely attended. The family have the sincere sympathy of the people of the county in this dreadful sorrow.
