Description	:	OBITUARY The funeral of William Edward Fosnot, a galant [sic] veteran of the Civil War, was held from the home of his brother, Mr. Lewis Fosnot, on the afternoon of Saturday the 20 of April, in charge of Rev. C. E. Perkins, who had been his pastor during the later years of his residence here. Messrs. Neaf and Miller sang a hymn. The weather was very stormy and cold, preventing a large turnout of the old comrades in arms of the deceased. However, several were present. The burial was in Oak Lawn cemetery. William Edward Fosnot was born in Memphis, Tenn., Oct. 7, 1843. At his death, April 16, 1918, he was 74 years, 6 months and 9 days old. He was married at Keosauqua, to Lucy M. Graham, July 18, 1865; their wedded life extending nearly 3 years over a half-century. Mr. and Mrs. Fosnot were the parents of seven children, two of whom died in infancy. The wife and five children survive the husband and father. The children are, Milton, living at Denver, Colo.; Genevieve, living at Kansas City; Robert, living at East Lake, Fla.; Della at Wilmington, N.C.; and Samuel at East Lake, Fla.
