Description	:	Funeral services for William E. Greaves, 80, former Broadwater county resident, who died Wednesday in Alameda, Calif. were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Connors Chapel in Townsend. Burial was in Forestvale Cemetery in Helena. The Rev. Warren Pardun officiated at the funeral rites and Mrs. Pardun sang the hymns. Pallbearers were Wes Sitton of Helena, Fred W. Schmitz and James Ward of Townsend, and Ed Spangler, Ben Webb and Art Berg of Toston. William Edward Greaves was born in Ontario, Canada, April 23, 1876. He moved to the United States with his family at the age of 21. Their first home in Montana was at Hassel. In September, 1908, he was united in Marriage with Edna Shull, and they lived in Radersburg until the death of Mrs. Greaves in 1951. In that year, Mr. Greaves went to live with his children in California. Except for frequent visits to Montana, he made California his home until he passed away at his son's home in Alameda Wednesday, Sept. 12, 1956.
