He is survived by 2 sons & 4 daughters, Edward & Patricia Lamson of Fremont, Mike Lamson of Hayward, Karen & Mac Humphrey of Vacaville, Barbara Lamson of Union City, Darlene Lamson of Fremont and Betty & Scott Messman of Newark. He is survived by 21 grandchildren & their spouses, 34 great-grandchildren & 3 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his compadre of 45 years Fernando Juarez. William proudly served in WWII, and worked for years alongside César E. Chávez, as a union representative and organizer of Field Laborers. He was also the President of the Meat Packers Association. He finished up his career working as an apartment manager at many different complexes for Glenmoor Homes Inc. for numerous years. He was a member of the re-organized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was always an avid Horseman, gardener, Giants fan & 49er fan. A Chapel Service will be held Friday, June 15, 2007 at 1 PM at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, 94536. Alameda Times-Star 6/14/07.
