Description	:	WILLIAM MARSH William E. R. Marsh William E. R. Marsh, age 89, of Seaford, DE, passed away on July 7, 2010, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born February 19, 1921, Mr. Marsh was the son of Pearl A. Suthards and Roland J. S. Marsh of Lewes. He graduated from Lewes High School. As Class President he organized many memorable class reunions. During World... Read More	WILLIAM MARSH William E. R. Marsh William E. R. Marsh, age 89, of Seaford, DE, passed away on July 7, 2010, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born February 19, 1921, Mr. Marsh was the son of Pearl A. Suthards and Roland J. S. Marsh of Lewes. He graduated from Lewes High School. As Class President he organized many memorable class reunions. Bill was a Master Mason and was active in their Tall Cedars of Lebanon Band. His DuPont career began when the DuPont Nylon Plant opened in Seaford in 1939, and he retired after 40 years of service. During World War II he saw action in the African theater while serving in the United States Coast Guard out of Groton, CT , and as Musician First Class, he thoroughly enjoyed his experience as a member of the Coast Guard Band under famed American jazz saxophonist and bandleader Dick Stabile. Bill was an accomplished musician and played with the Lou Startt Orchestra for over 25 years. In addition to his love of music, especially Count Basie, he was an avid golfer and was a member of the Seaford Golf and Country Club for over 60 years. Bill was predeceased by his first wife, Betty, in 2001 after 57 years of marriage. Bill leaves behind his wife, Nancy, and two daughters, Sue Stenborg of Wilmington, DE, and Wendee Kramen (Stephen) of Richmond, VA, three grandchildren, Eric Stenborg (Catherine), Betsy Kramen and Caroline Kramen, and one great-grandson, Joshua and Nancy's children David, Linda and Meg. A Memorial Service will be held at Mt. Olivet Methodist Church in Seaford where Bill was a member for over 60 years. The service will begin at 1 pm on Monday, July 12th. Burial will take place on Saturday, July 10, at 2 pm, in the Bethel Cemetery in Lewes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to any Veterans organization of their choice or to Mt. Olivet Methodist Church.
