Description	:	AGED PIONEER PASSES AWAY After four years of suffering, William Edwin Coram, one of the oldest and most highly respected settlers in the Springvale district, passed away on Monday last at the family residence in Springvale in the 81st year of his life. Deceased was born in Devonshire, England, in 1842, and came to Canada with his parents in 1856, settling near Owen Sound, Ontario. In 1871 he was married to Charlotte Knight, of Woodford, Ont., and moved west with his wife and family in April, 1893, and settled in Springvale district, where he has resided ever since. In 1871 he was married to Charlotte Knight, of Woodford, Ont., and moved west with his wife and family in April, 1893, and settled in Springvale district, where he has resided ever since. Besides his wife, five children survive his death, namely: Mrs. Russel Pengelly, Mrs. H.R. Gilbert, California; Miss Phoebe Coram, at home; George Coram, at Armstrong B.C., and John Wesley Coram. The funeral will take place this Wednesday afternoon to Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Service will be held in Springvale Methodist church, the Rev. Mr. Dugan conducting the service.
