Ervin married Dorothy Lucille Sweem August 6th 1936 in Cosmopolis Washington. They lived a short time in Tacoma Washington. They settled in Aberdeen Washington where Ervin spent his life working for the Northern Pacific Railroad. Ervin and Dorothy had four sons, many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
