Description	:	William Naprstek Dies Wednesday Funeral services for William Naprstek, 65, manager of the Creighton Cooperative Creamery Co. for more than 27 years, were conducted Saturday morning, May 5 at St. Ludger Catholic Church. The requiem high mass was conducted by Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph B. Falke, assisted by the Rev. Robert Smith and the Rev. Andrew H. Meister of Plainview. Interment was in St. Ludger Cemetery. Pallbearers were B.J. Huigens, D.A. Van Deveer, R.L. Rice, Dr. M.R. Pope, Leo Stortz and Joe Manion. Business places were closed during the funeral. Mr. Naprstek passed away at Lundberg Memorial Hospital Wednesday evening, May 2. He had been in failing health following an operation several weeks earlier and was taken to the local hospital a few days prior to his passing. William Frank Naprstek was born Feb. 8, 1891 at Elba, where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage to Olga Manasil of St. Paul on June 19, 1912 at St. Wensceslaus Catholic Church at Warsaw, near St. Paul. They made their home in Elba, where Mr. Naprstek owned a general merchandise store and later became manager of the Elba Cooperative Creamery. In November 1928 they came to Creighton, where Mr. Naprstek assumed the management of the local creamery. He remained in that position until March of this year, when he resigned. Mr. Naprstek was active in community affairs. He was one of the original members of the Lions Club and later the Chamber of Commerce, which succeeded the Lions organization. He also served on the city council for several years. He had been general chairman of the annual Farmers Night event the past few years. He is survived by his wife, Olga, of Creighton; two sons, Paul of Creighton and Willard of Plainview; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Ed of Lexington and Bert of Elba and six sisters, Lillian Sevcik of Hilo, Hawaii, Hattie Ingerie and Augusta Lohn of Elbe, Clara Dobry of Cedar Rapis, Ia., Emma Stefanowiez of Farwell and Blance Turna of Lexington. ...The Creighton News 10 May 1956
