Mr. Huskey, a retired textile worker and cafe operator, was the founder of Huskey's Chapel Baptist church. He was known as a song leader and was active in religious affairs. He was a charter member of the Blackburg Baptist church. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the Broad River Baptist church with the Rev. H. C. Dixon, the pastor, and the Rev. T. C. Cobb officiating. Interment was in Oakland cemetery at Gaffney with the Gordon-Mabry Funeral Home, morticians, in charge. The pallbearers were A. Z. McDaniel, Irvin Bryan, George Hampton, Sr., Pierce and Warren Moss, Ambrose Cobb and Glenn Childers. Mr. Huskev is survived by three daughters, Mrs. McDaniel, Mrs. Carl Greene and Mrs. Ruth Childers, of Blacksburg: five sons, ders, of Blacksburg; five sons, Ray and Newbert Huskey, of Blacksburg, Roy Huskey, of Southern Gate, Cal., and Allen Huskey, of Gaffney; four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Tolleson, of Spartanburg, Mrs. Minnie Scoggins, of Charlotte, Mrs. Vita Stephenson, of Woodruff, and Mrs. Estelle Eubanks, of Spartanburg; three brothers, E. B. Huskey, of Gaffney, Vernon Huskey, of Waynesville, Va.. and Bruce Huskey, of Washington; 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
