Surviving are his wife and five children, Mrs. Ralph (Dolly) Horton, Eagle Grove, Lloyd Matte, Minneapolis, Willys Matte, North Branch, MN, Dale Matte, Nora Springs, Mrs. Russell (Donna) Weatherwax, Charles City; a sister, Mrs. Fred Yeuch, Charles City, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Elsie, and a brother, Eddie.
