| Description | : | Friedrich Wilhelm Stock William "left Germany when aged 16 years. First came through Nevada 1863 while freighting from Red Bluff, California to Silver City, Idaho mines. From the homestead he took up in 1864, he built one of the finest commercial cattle ranches in Nevada, which is still known as the William Stock Farming Co. and is still owned and managed by his family. In 1880, he returned to Germany for a visit and while there married Wilhelmina Wehage, who returned to Nevada with him that year."
