Bill (Bugs) was born to William G. and Pearl Brown Williamson, on April 25, 1916, in Waverly. He grew up in Waverly and graduated from Waverly High School. He then attended Ottawa University. Williamson, Jr., 96, of Burlington, died on Thursday morning, December 27, 2012, at the Life Care Center. Bill (Bugs) was born to William G. and Pearl Brown Williamson, on April 25, 1916, in Waverly. He grew up in Waverly and graduated from Waverly High School. He then attended Ottawa University. He married Adele Dawson, on April 16, 1939, in Waverly. They had a farm south of Waverly for 17 years, before moving to Burlington in 1956. In Burlington, they owned and operated Williamson Hardware. Bugs was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge #66, AF&AM, and while he had the store was a member of the Coffey County Chamber of Commerce. He and Adele enjoyed square dancing and belonged to the Prairie Promenaders. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, on November 9, 2012, his brother, Martin Dee Williamson, and a sister, Gertrude L. Williams. Bugs is survived by his daughter, Linda Luke and her husband Stan, Burlington, his three grandsons, Tim Luke and his wife Cathy, Belleville, Michigan, Rob Luke and his wife Beth, Westland, Michigan, and Bill Luke and his wife Dawn, Canton, Michigan, eight great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington, with burial following at Waverly Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday evening, January 2, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to "Burlington Lodge No. 66, AF&AM" or "Burlington United Methodist Church" may be sent in care of Jones Funeral Home, PO Box 277, Burlington KS 66839.
