Biemann, Jr., 81, of Waterloo, Iowa, died peacefully at his home in the country on Friday, July 22, 2011 after a long illness. He was born at Allen Memorial Hospital on June 26, 1930, to William H. Venable Biemann Sr. Veteran of Korean War William "Bill" H. Biemann, Jr., 81, of Waterloo, Iowa, died peacefully at his home in the country on Friday, July 22, 2011 after a long illness. He was born at Allen Memorial Hospital on June 26, 1930, to William H. Sr. and Derothea Biemann. Bill graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1947. He married Betty M. Wood on November 24, 1949, and they have been married 61 years. Bill proudly served as a U.S. Marine in Korea in the 1950's and was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was employed by 7-Up Bottlers for 15 years and 15 years at Lewis Motor Co. and I.W.I. Auto Parts. Bill also spent 20 years farming in Bennington Township, then 30+ years in the restaurant business in Waterloo, Waverly, and Cedar Falls. He also made time to be a Central Committeeman in Bennington Township, a Commander of Knights Templar Waterloo, a member of Black Hawk Lodge #65, Cedar Falls and Amvets of Cedar Falls. He was a member for 15 years and also served as past president of the El Mecca Shrine Club and rode in their cycle patrol for 10 years. He also was a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents Walter and Hattie Brandt and William and Ethel Venable, granddaughter Jessica Jean Eilers, sister Bethel and her husband Donald Sieck, and grandson Evan Freeman. Bill is survived by his wife Betty; five daughters: Toni (Randy) Eilers, Terry (Dennis) Zaruba, Teddy Bruns, Tracy (Michael) Dreesman and Tammy (Rick) Schneider; one son, Thomas W. (Rhonda) Biemann; 26 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Ethel (Larry) Lindaman and Bonnie (Jim) Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
