Description	:	Mr. William Harold Enneis, Sr. of Alachua, Fla. died Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at North Florida Regional Medical Center. He was 88. Mr. Enneis was born in Jacksonville. He was the owner and operator of Enneis Motor Co., a Ford dealership, from 1939 to 1982. He attended the University of Florida, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was a 1935 graduate of Alachua High School. He was a U.S. Army/Air Corps veteran of World War II, where he served as a P-51 pilot with the 12th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron. Mr. Enneis was born in Jacksonville. He was the owner and operator of Enneis Motor Co., a Ford dealership, from 1939 to 1982. He attended the University of Florida, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was a 1935 graduate of Alachua High School. He was a U.S. Army/Air Corps veteran of World War II, where he served as a P-51 pilot with the 12th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron. He flew 106 combat missions over France and Germany. Mr. Enneis served as a commissioner, mayor and municipal judge for the city of Alachua. He was a charter member of the Alachua Lion's Club and the American Legion Post No. 160 in Alachua. He also was a member of the Alachua VFW Post No. 9229. He enjoyed planting sunflowers, playing ball and bridge and going to the beach and the dog track. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Alachua. Survivors include a son, Bill Enneis Jr. of Alachua; daughters Rebecca Enneis and Susan E. Hamilton, both of Gainesville; a sister, Mary E. McLeod of Fort Myers; grandchildren Margaret, Elizabeth, Kate, John and Matthew; great-grandchildren James, Sarah Anthony and Emily. A memorial graveside service was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at Newnansville Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Harding conducting the service. Arrangements were by Evans-Carter Funeral Home, High Springs, Fla.
