Brooks of Arbuckle Passed Away Early Today William Harrison Brooks, for 35 years a resident of Williams and Arbuckle, engaged in farming and almond growing for the past ten years in the vicinity of Arbuckle, passed away at the family home in that city at 2:30 this morning, following an illness of about a week. Deceased was widely known throughout the southern end of the county and had many friends in Colusa and vicinity. He leaves to mourn his passing his widow, Mrs. Luck (Lucy) Brooks of Arbuckle, a son, Harry Brooks Jr., and four step children, M. H. Griffith (Griffin), Arbuckle; Mrs. L. L. Ayer, Arbuckle, J. L. Griffin, Arbuckle and I. A. Griffin, Arbuckle; also a sister, Mrs. Mary Estes, and a brother, Peter Brooks, both of Arbuckle. Deceased was a native of Indiana where he was born November 4th,1862. He came to California 35 years ago, directly to Colusa County. He was respected by all who knew him and was a good husband and father. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the family residence. The Masonic lodge, of which Brooks was a member will hold services at the grave. Interment will be made in Arbuckle. McNary & Son are in charge of funeral arrangements. His parents were James Brooks and Sarah E. (Guthrie) Brooks of Indiana.
