Mr. Brown was born in Henderson, NC on September 6, 1941, a son of Charles Carlton and Irene Ellington Brown, both deceased. He was retired as a branch manager for Citifinancial. Read More	William Henry "Bill" Brown September 6, 1941 - February 19, 2014 Mr. William Henry "Bill" Brown, 72, of Eden passed away on Wednesday afternoon, February 19, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Brown was born in Henderson, NC on September 6, 1941, a son of Charles Carlton and Irene Ellington Brown, both deceased. He was retired as a branch manager for Citifinancial. He was a lifetime member of Plank Chapel United Methodist Church and attended St. Luke's Episcopal Church. He was an avid bicycle rider. He is survived by his wife, Frances Lewis Brown of the home; his daughter, Catherine Espino of Kittrell, NC; his brother, Charles Carlton Brown, and his sister, Diane Jenks and husband, Tim, all of Kittrell, NC; and by 3 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Kristopher Jernigen. Mr. Brown will lie in state at Boone & Cooke, Inc. Funeral Home in Eden from 1:00 until 5:00pm on Friday. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00pm on Saturday at Plank Chapel United Methodist Church, prior to the service. The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Plank Chapel United Methodist Church in Kittrell, NC. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375, or to St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 600 Morgan Road, Eden, NC 27288.
