Read More	The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, May 10, 1979; pg. 15 William Henry Hohl, son of Henry and Dena Lunkenheimer Hohl, was born July 26, 1892, at Cook, Nebraska, and passed away at the Nuckolls County Hospital, Superior, April 26, 1979, at the age of 86 years and nine months. William was baptized in Osage Lutheran Church on December 2, 1892. In 1905 he moved with his parents to Hanover, Kansas. There he attended Bible School and was confirmed March 24, 1907. In 1908 he moved with his parents to Deshler where he grew to manhood, working in the broom factory for 11 years. May 11, 1916, he was united in marriage to Mathilda Barfknecht at Deshler, Nebraska. To this union were born two children, Armilda and a son, March 13, 1922, who died in infancy. The Uhrmacher (sic) family made their home in Deshler for a few years. Then they moved to Nuckolls County where William spent his time in the work he loved, farming in the surrounding community. In 1953 they moved to Nelson, Nebraska. December 2, 1970, his wife, Mathilda, passed away. Bill continued to live in Nelson until 1974 when he moved to his present home in Superior. Preceding him in death were his parents, an infant son in 1922, his wife, Mathilda, in 1970, one brother and four sisters. Survivors include his daughter, Armilda, and son-in-law, Harold Uhrmacher; two grandchildren, Shirley and Dale, and Dale's wife, Sally; five great grandchildren, Christy, Kathy, Aaron, Jennie and Jeanie Uhrmacher; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 30, from the Salem Lutheran Church, rural Superior. Rev. Ray Ensign officiated. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery. Megrue-Price Funeral Home, Superior, was in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers were Arlan Hohl, Harvey Luellen, Steven Troudt, Everett Barfknecht, Lester Bangert and Melvin Uhrmacher. "What A Friend We Have In Jesus", was sung by the congregation and "The Old Rugged Cross", by the Salem Lutheran Choir, with Lillian Christensen as the organist.
