Description	:	From the "Hamilton Evening Journal," April 13, 1925: "William Henry Black, well known retired carpenter, and contractor, a resident of Okeana, passed away at his home on Sunday at 8:30 p.m., after an illness of several months at the age of 84 years, three months and 21 days." Mr. Black was the son of John and Rachel (Merring) Black. He served with the 5th OH Cavalry during the War of the Rebellion in the bodyguard of Gen. Lew Wallace.
