Description	:	William H. Booth, a former resident of Lowell and Somersworth, N.H., but more recently residing in East Chelmsford, died yesterday morning at the home of his sisters, Mrs. Rhoda A. Hunt and Mrs. Elizabeth E. Barnes, 21 Sprague Avenue, in that town, after a long illness, aged 87 years. Born in Manchester, England, the son of the late Edwin and Sarah (Cooper) Booth, he received his education in the schools of that country, coming to the United States in his "thirties". Born in Manchester, England, the son of the late Edwin and Sarah (Cooper) Booth, he received his education in the schools of that country, coming to the United States in his "thirties". A hand engraver and tool maker by trade, he had been employed for many years by the U.S. Cartridge Shops in Lowell, and later in life by the Clifford Manufacturing Company of Boston. Mr. Booth was an attendant of Matthews Memorial Church of Lowell. Besides his sisters, with whom he made his home, Mr. Booth is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lily Birtwell, also of East Chelmsford and Mrs. Mabel Hainsworth of Somersworth, N.H.; a brother, Wilfrid L. Booth of Clifton, N.J.; a granddaughter, three grandsons, three great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. Funeral and services at the Morse Funeral Home, 170 Westford Street were conducted by pastor Rev. Arthur E. Hiley from Matthews Memorial Church, assisted by Rev. Otto R. Loverude from the First United Baptist Church of Lowell. The bearers, all grandsons of the deceased, were James W. Birtwell, John L. Birtwell, Norman B. Hainsworth, Jr., and William J. Summers. Burial took place in the family lot in Edson Cemetery where committal prayers were read by Rev. Hiley. Arrangements by Funeral Director Robert T. Morse.
