Description	:	William Greenough, 93, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, at Harris Hill Nursing Home in Concord. Mr. Greenough was born in Hooksett on Aug. 19, 1912, the son of the late Charles and Sarah Converse Greenough. After graduating from Mount Hermon Prep School in Massachusetts, he entered the Army, in which he served during World War II. He was a cabinetmaker for Hermsdorf Manufacturing his entire working career until retirement in 1970. He was a member of the Congregational Church of Hooksett. Mr. Greenough was born in Hooksett on Aug. 19, 1912, the son of the late Charles and Sarah Converse Greenough. After graduating from Mount Hermon Prep School in Massachusetts, he entered the Army, in which he served during World War II. He was a cabinetmaker for Hermsdorf Manufacturing his entire working career until retirement in 1970. He was a member of the Congregational Church of Hooksett. Mr. Greenough was a 61-year member of Post No. 37 American Legion and a life member of the National Rifle Association. He was a very active Mason, with his accreditations being: recipient of the Maj. Gen. John Sullivan Award, Past Master of the Jewell Lodge No. 94 in Pembroke, a 65-year member of Jewell Lodge No. 94, a Past High Priest Hiram of Chapter No. 24 Royal Arch Masons in Pembroke, and a Past Grand Chaplain of both Grand Council Cryptic Masons and the Grand Rayal Arch Chapter. He was a member of Mount Horeb Commandery, the Horace Council Cryptic Masons, the Knight Masons of New Hampshire and of Profile College No. 100 in Concord. He was also a member of the Pinnacle Fish and Game Club, received the Citizen of the Year award from the town of Hooksett and was past president of the Hooksett Men's Club. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Mr. Greenough was preceded in death by his wife, Elsa Bischoff Greenough, who died in 1994; and a sister, Ruth Greenough. Burial will be held at Head Cemetery in Hooksett. Excerpted from Concord Monitor
