They were the parents of Lois, Alvin, Arlene, and Marjorie. The Grundy Register - Thursday , March 13th, 1969 - William H. Lindaman passed away Monday evening, March 3, 1969, around 10:30 o'clock at the Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo due to a Pulmonary Emboll. He had been taken to the Grundy County Memorial hospital on Feb. 25th for treatment and then taken to Waterloo on Feb. 20th. He reached the age of 68 years and 10 days. He was born on a farm in German township north of Wellsburg on Feb. 23, 1901, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henricus Lindaman (nee Talea Schutjer). He attended the rural school in the area. On September 15, 1925 he was united in marriage to Miss Ida Riebkes at the Eastfriesland Presbyterian Church parsonage by the Rev Engelkes. This union was blessed with 4 children. Following their marriage they lived in Wellsburg for 11 years, after which they moved to the Lindaman home place farm. In 1954 they moved back to Wellsburg where they had built a new home. He purchased the H. Lindaman and Sons lumber yard in November of 1967. He was a long time member of the Eastfriesland Presbyterian Church and served on the Session as an elder. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brothers and 2 sisters. Those left to mourn his passing are his wife, Ida, 3 daughters and 1 son (Lois, Mrs. Marvin Sanderson of Beaman: Alvin of Wellsburg, , Mrs. Dale Heetland of Ackley, (Marjorie), Mrs. Richard Sweat of Merrill Island, Florida; 18 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; 4 sisters and 1 brother: Mrs Martin Rieken, now confined to the Presbyterian Home in Ackley; Jake H. Lindaman of Wellsburg, Mrs. Tillie Groeneveld of Eldora, Mrs. Reka Nelson of Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Hannah Peters of Grundy Center: and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Friday, March 7, 1969 at 1:00 p.m. a t the Doyen Funeral Home and a 11:30 p.m. at the Eastfriesland Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Kenneth Remer was officiating pastor. Two duet numbers were sung by Mrs. Ronald Fisher and Mrs. Leonard Oelmonn. Mrs. Virgil Heetland was organist. Flower attendants were Mrs. Reka Gronewold and Mrs. Ordan Starr. Pall bearers were James Van Hove, Arend Fisher, Abe H Jaspers, Henry V Janssen, Harry Beving and Okke Jaspers. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church.
