Description	:	W. H. Runkle, well known countryman, died suddenly Aug. 23, 1926, at his home near Quinque. Mr. Runkle had eaten his supper and seemed to be hi his usual health, when he went out in the yard and procured a bunch of grapes. After eating them he told his daughter, Mrs. Durrer, that he was feeling badly, and before she could do anything for him he had breathed his last. Mr. Runkle was the son of the late B. Mr. Runkle had eaten his supper and seemed to be hi his usual health, when he went out in the yard and procured a bunch of grapes. After eating them he told his daughter, Mrs. Durrer, that he was feeling badly, and before she could do anything for him he had breathed his last. Mr. Runkle was the son of the late B. P and Catherine Runkle, of McMullan. He was born and lived all his life in Greene County, and was a very popular with all who knew him, having been a kindly, affable man. He had almost reached the allotted time of life. He was twice married, but survived both of his wives. The deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sudie Hull, of New Jersey, and Mrs. Elsie Durrer, and three sons; Price, Henry and Tommie, the four last-named making their home with him; also two sisters, Mrs. W. W. Piper and Mrs. John Moyers, of McMullan. The funeral and burial service took place Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Woodson cemetery in the presence of a large number of sorrowing relatives and friends.
