William Henry Strawser, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Strawser, was born in Ross County, Ohio, May 13, 1858 and departed this life at Hastings, Nebraska, March 31, 1938, after an illness of several months. He was 79 years, 10 months and 18 days of age. He was the oldest son of a family of four children. He was united in marriage to Minerva Alice Wheeland, Ross County, Ohio, December 29, 1881. To this union four children were born, Rancie C. Strawser, Edgar, Nebraska; Mrs. Adie E. Lake, York, Nebraska; Lloyd Strawser, Whittier, California, and Cecil Strawser, Edgar, Nebraska. They resided in Ohio until 1889 when they with their two children moved to Nebraska and resided on a farm near Sedan. In 1900 the family moved to Edgar, Nebraska, where Mr. and Mrs. Strawser lived until their death. He united with the Methodist Church of Edgar, December 26, 1895, and has been a devout Christian ever since. He was a kind and devoted husband and father, and ever considerate of all he knew. His wife, father, mother and brother preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his departure four children and 15 grandchildren and two sisters, Mary and Elizabeth Strawser and one sister-in-law, Mrs. M. L.
