Read More	A DOUBLE FUNERAL Coincidences in Lives and Deaths Of Two Pioneers A double funeral of pioneers of the Palouse country was held Monday afternoon at Colfax Cemetery, William H. Harris of near this city and Thomas B. Turner of Pampa being laid beneath the sod. There were a number of coincidences in their lives, deaths, and burials. Both were of the same age, 60 years; both came to the country about the same time; their last illness dated from about the same time; their deaths were not more than a few minutes apart; they died from the same disease; paralysis, and were buried at practically the same hour by the same lodge of which both were members - Colfax Lodge No 14, A.O.U.W. Each left a widow to whom will fall the lodge insurance of $2000. Mr. Harris died Saturday at 3 p.m. at his home south of Colfax, after a long and painful illness from paralysis, much of the time during his sickness being helpless. He was buried at 3 o'clock Monday under the auspices of a large delegation of brother Workmen. Mr. Turner died in a hospital at Walla Walla at about the same hour. His remains arrived at Colfax on the afternoon train and reached the cemetery just as the lost clod covered the coffin of Mr. Harris. The Colfax Gazette, 19 Jul 1901 ===== William's 2nd wife was Clara Burch whom he married 14 June 1885 in Nez Perce Co., Idaho. Clara was the mother of Ina Elnora Harris and Ora Fay Harris.
