Bott, 89, an early Kittitas County pioneer farmer, died Sunday night at the Yakima Convalescent Home in Yakima where he had resided for the past three years. Bott was born August 27, 1864, of Weston, West Virginia. He came to the Kittitas Valley in 1879 with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. John I. Bott. The family settled in the Fairview District and Bott operated the farm after his parents' death. He lived on the farm until his retirement in 1942 when he moved to Kittitas. Bott was married to Elvina McKenzie on November 22, 1929 at Ellensburg. She survives him at Yakima. Bott was active in community affairs in the valley and was a member of the Kittitas County Pioneers Association. Other survivors include two stepdaughters, Mrs. Eleanor McGrath of Ellensburg and Mrs. Margaret Harrell of Thorp; three stepsons, Elvin McKenzie of Grandview and Max McKenzie and Don McKenzie both of Yakima, and two nieces, Mrs. Jessie Page of Tacoma and Mrs. Georgia Roether of Kelso. Funeral services for Bott will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Methodist Church in Ellensburg. Burial will take place at the IOOF Cemetery. The services will be conducted by the Rev.
