Read More	William Avery FORT COLLINS, Colo. - William "Bill" Avery, 88, of Fort Collins died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, in the chapel at Good Samaritan Village, 508 W. Trilby Road, Fort Collins. Interment with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008, in Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, Kan. A reception will follow. William Hough Avery Jr. was born April 12, 1919, in Coldwater, Kan., to William and Dorothy Avery. He served in the First Armored Division as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II in North Africa and Italy. He married Esther Leeper on Dec. 26, 1944, at First Presbyterian Church in Louisville, Ky. They settled in Hutchinson, Kan., and were longtime members of Forest Park Presbyterian Church. Bill worked for 31 years in various positions for the Kansas State Industrial Reformatory in Hutchinson and retired in 1981. During their retirement, he and Esther traveled around the United States in an RV for five years prior to settling in Del Rio, Texas. In 1999, they moved into the Good Samaritan Community in Fort Collins. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Esther; his son, G. Keith Avery; and his older daughter, Carolyn Bloomberg. He is survived by his younger daughter, Rebecca Avery of Springfield; son-in-law, John Bloomberg of Fort Collins; daughter-in-law, Linda Avery of Escondido, Calif.; six grandchildren, Jeanne Richardson, Jay Archer, Brent Avery, Tyrone Avery, Tiffany Avery and Lori Avery; and two great-grandchildren, Morgan Archer and Severin Archer. Bill's family requests that any memorial donations please be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Susan G.
