A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Burroughs-Cooper-Kiser Funeral Home officiated by the Rev. Henry Williams. Born, May 5, 1943, in Marlboro County, he was the son of the late Howard Tadlock, Sr. and the late Juanita Dudley Tadlock. Mr. Tadlock was a member of the Bennettsville Wesleyan Church, where he was an active member of the Wesleyan Men. He was an avid golfer, and loved the Atlanta Braves, Dallas Cowboys, and the University of South Carolina Gamecocks. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend. He especially loved his dog Molly. Mr. Tadlock Proudly served his Country in the United States Army, where he retired with twenty-one years of Service. During his service in the military, he served two back to back tours in Vietnam, and received many service medals and awards to include; the Overseas Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Commendation Medal (1st and 2nd Oak Leaf Cluster), Several Good Conduct Medals, The Vietnam Campaign Medal, The Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the Vietnam Gallantry Cross. Along with his parents, Mr. Tadlock was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Candice B. Cole. He is survived by his wife Marsha D. Tadlock of the home; a son, Michael Tadlock and wife Heather of Bennettsville; daughters, Nickie Hardee and husband Chris of Bennettsville, and Connie Wagner of Richmond, VA; a sister, Vanessa T. Baker and husband Billy of Bennettsville; grandchildren, Jace Michael Tadlock, Hannah Hardee, and Army Specialist Brandon Cole; great-grandchildren, Morgan Cole and Robbie Cole; a nephew, Kyle Coddington; and a great-niece, Nicole Coddington. Memorials may be made to Bennettsville Wesleyan Church, 206 Wiltshire Drive, Bennettsville, SC 29512; or to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington, D.C. 20004.
