He was the husband of Marion (Cooke) Miner. Born, Oct. 5, 1932, in North Stonington, he was the son of the late William H.B. and Violet Marie (Maine) Miner. Miner, 67, of 24 Norwich-Westerly Road, North Stonington, died on Friday, June 2, 2000, at the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, New London. He was the husband of Marion (Cooke) Miner. Born, Oct. 5, 1932, in North Stonington, he was the son of the late William H.B. and Violet Marie (Maine) Miner. Mr. Miner worked at Electric Boat in Groton as a driller from January 1953 until retiring on Dec. 21, 1995. In addition to his wife of 49 years, he leaves a son, William B. Miner of Westerly; three daughters, Kathy Schafer of Pawcatuck, Diane Stevenson of North Stonington, and Sally Ertl of Griswold, Conn.; a sister, Mildred Collins of Pawcatuck; and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Joan Cooper. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
