McGee; Burial In Aurora~ William I. McGee, son of Samuel and Fannetta Williamson McGee was born October 19, 1874 in Moline, Illinois, and passed away in Aurora, following an extended illness on June 5, 1965, at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 16 days. At early age he came with his parents to Hamilton County where they homesteaded near Marquette. In 1916 he was united in marriage to May White. They resided for several years in Idaho where he was employed in the Forestry Service. At his retirement they moved to York where they resided until the passing of his wife on July 24, 1957. He then came to Aurora where he has since resided. He was preceeded in death by his parents , his wife, three brothers; Bert, Ed and Earl, and two sisters; Mrs. Mary McKinney and Mrs. Laura Huber. Those who survive are two brothers; Clyde of Aurora and Keith of Colby, Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Adams of Venice, California, and Miss Mabel McGee of Lincoln and several nieces and nephews and other close relatives and friends. Funeral services were held from the Chapel of the Higby Mortuary on Tuesday, June 8, 1965, at 2 pm with the Rev. Donald Nunally, pastor of Evangelical United Brethren Church, officiating. Music was by Mrs. Lawrence Penner, vocalist, singing "Rock of Ages" and "What a Friend" accompanied by Mrs. Glenn Haworth at the piano. Casketbearers were Bert McGee, Roy McGee, William McGee, earl Williams, Dexter Huber and Clyde Huber. Interment was in the Aurora, Nebraska Cemetery.
