He was taken to Floyd Valley hospital and transferred to St. Joseph's hospital. He died Monday morning (Oct. 22, 1979) several hours after being admitted. Mr. Neubrand was born Nov. 13, 1914 in Mapleton, Iowa, to Robert and Clara Le Febvere Neubrand. His marriage to Madeline Reuter took place Sept, 30, 1937, in Le Mars, where they had lived since their marriage. He was preceded in, death by his father in 1931 and a brother Stanley, who was killed in action in world war 2. Survivors are his wife, Madeline of Le Mars; a daughter, Mrs. Darrell (Ann) Muir, Boca Raton, Fla.; four sons, William Jr., Donald and Dennis, all of Le Mars, and Charles of Clear Water, Fla.: his mother. Mrs. Clara Neubrand of Le Mars; six sisters, Mrs. Alex Stoffel, Oyens; Ethel Neubrand, Le Mars; Mrs. Gerhard Groetken and Mrs. Cletus Nemmers, both of Denver; Sister Marie Terese, Waconia, Minn., and Mrs. Robert Owens, Peoria, Ill. There are 10 grandchildren. A brother Robert Neubrand, Wichita, Kan., also survives.
