Yancy, who will be remembered as being connected with the Southern Railway at Sugar Valley some twenty years ago, will learn with much regret of his death, which occurred in Omaha, Nebraska on last Tuesday. A score of years ago, Col. Yancy represented the Atlanta Chert Paving Company at Sugar Valley, Ga for the Southern Railway, remaining at that place for about two years. During that time he established himself firmly in the regard of many Gordon county citizens being a man of spotless integrity and a truely Christian character. From Sugar Valley, Col. Yancy went to the famous Biltmore farms at Ashville, NC at which place he built [87?] miles of chert road and from that place he proceeded to Omaha, Neb. Where he made his home. The body was carried to his old boyhood home at Mar???ville, Va for interment. Col. Yancy is survived by two sisters who reside at Lynchburg, Va.
