The remains were taken to Westerville where the funeral services will be conducted at the Methodist Episcopal church at one o'clock Sunday afternoon. Besides his wife and six children Mr. Cruit is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cruit, who reside west of the city, four brothers, George, of Lancaster; Samuel, of Carroll; Bert, of Lancaster; John, of Columbus. Also three sisters, Mrs. Earl Bates, of Royalton; Mrs. Arthur Ewing, of northeast of the city, and Mrs. Jas. Hamitt, who lives with her parents, west of the city. ------------------- Death Notice/Obituary for William Jacob Cruit from Lancaster Daily Eagle dated Saturday, 26 Apr 1913 DEATH Of Wm. Jacob Cruit, a Former Lancasterian at the Grant Hospital. Mr. Wm. Jacob Cruit, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cruit, and former Lancasterian, died Friday noon at the Grant Hospital from an operation for appendicitis, which was performed Thursday morning. Mr. Cruit has of late years resided on his farm near Westerville. He was about 40 years old and leaves a wife and six children, Harold, Merrill, Frances, Mary Alice, Florence and Jessie. His wife before her marriage was Miss Mary Williamson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Williamson west of the city. He also leaves three sisters and five brothers; Mrs. Tarl Bates of near Royalton, Mrs. Arthur Ewing, north of Lancaster Mrs. Jas. Hammitt west of city Mr. Sam Cruit of near Carroll; Mr. J. T. Cruit of Columbus; Mr. George Cruit and Mr. Bert Cruit, both residing west of here. The funeral will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the M. E. church at Westerville.
